SATELLITE INFORMATION PAGE
Hits
Need some decent Satellite Links,,, LOOK HERE If you find any of these links
"Dead" please let me know, and I will put up another "Live"
site that you may want to visit.
DUE-
To a recent change in the law some of the information below is now "Against
The Law" Once many companies thrived selling D-2Mac pirate cards, but this
has now been pushed underground. The price for cards used to be around £15.00
which was reasonable, but now I have seen cards being advertised for £150.00.
So all the change in law has done (In my opinion) is to create a black market
where the everyday punter is being ripped of. A very sad thing. Digital
Satellite television is set to become to standard, but it will be some time
if not years before "Analogue" gets turned of.
This Is Very Important Please Read
For some time, Infact for many
years this page has been on-line to help the reader get the most from there satellite
receiver. May
2nd 2001 is a sad day as TV1000 has closed down.
So, as this was the main channel for the available pirate cards, you may find
some of the information below to now be defunct. But as its been a part of
"history" if you like, I have left the information for you to read.
The Canal+ Channel is still on-line, so there is some way to go before D2-Mac is
dead, but the first nail in the coffin has been hammered.
ONE LAST POINT-I
DO NOT SUPPLY PIRATE CARDS
< SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK>
So, you want to see some satellite channels for free ?? this really is
very easy with just a little knowledge. I am not going to make this technical, or I will
try not to as we all have to start somewhere..
Firstly "Sky" is a company not a satellite, it uses a
satellite called Astra which is the main satellite that UK people watch is positioned
at 19.2 degree East. But as well as Astra there are dozens of other satellites serving
different countries but I am only going to concentrate on the English speaking
channels
..
The next popular satellite is called Hot Bird along with Eutelsat 11F3,
which is positioned at 16 degrees East, the final satellite for us brits is Intelsat 707
at 1degree west
These are the main 3......... yea yea there are others like Thor and
Intelsat 601 along with a host of others with "feeds" but they are best left
alone at the moment
Hot Bird/Eutelsat 11F3 are so easy to pick up as they are almost next to
Astra, if you look at your dish with the eye looking to where it is pointing, then the
dish needs to move to the West, or as you are looking to the right, it is only a couple of
degrees away from Astra
.. On this Satellite you can get BBC World service, EBN,
Eurosport, Euronews, NBC Europe, Onyx TV, Viva and Viva2 (one of my favorites)
these are ALL FOR FREE no need for ANY subscription and just about every channel on this
satellite is in the clear and can be viewed for free.
"So what do I need" I hear you ask, well if you all ready have
a dish, then all you need do is move the dish, but you may not want to loose the Astra
pictures, so you have the option 1, not recommended but will work, you can buy an adapter
so that you can attach 2 LNB's (Low noise blockers, the thing that picks up the signals)
along with a second LNB, the cost of the bracket is around £15.00 and you should be able
to pick up the LNB for around £20.00, you will also need a A/B switch box to flick
between the LNBs
The next popular satellite is the Intelsat 707 at 1degree west, this is
not so easy to find at first but well worth it when you see what you can get. BUT, you
will need a decoder know as a d2-Mac decoder along with a "pirate" viewing
card
.. But you will get the best in Movies sport, general entertainment and
music
. Here are the current channels and what you get
.BBC Prime (General),
Cartoon Network (says it all) TV 1000 Cinema (Latest Films), Norsk TV2 (English
sport,General), TNT (Old movies), TV 1000 (Up to date films..better than Sky Movies),
TV3 Denmark (General), TV3 Norway (General), TV3 Sweden (General) Sky News, along with two
Canal Plus Channels which show the latest movies. All these channels transmit mainly
English programs, including premier football and live boxing, yes live boxing look at
those suckers who paid Sky £15.00 to watch one fight
. With a little know how you
will be getting it for free
.
Now the problem with a pirate card are the ECMS (electric
counterfeit measures) which knock out the cards, these do happen from time to time, but
get a card from a decent supplier and they will soon have the updates to you, look at my links page for sites I recommend.
OK, now things get a little more complicated, you need your dish to
point a fair bit away from Astra, so how do we do this
.. easy you need a dish motor
like a "Sat walker" there are plenty to choose from and your local specialist
dealer will be able to help you make your choice, expect to pay around £120.00 for a
device to move your dish
The D2-Mac decoder will set you upwards of £100.00 and a basic pirate
card around £15.00
You can go for a motorised set-up, but this aint cheap expect to pay
upwards of £1000.00 for a decent set-up, but you will be promised hours, in fact 24 hours
of fun as your dish tracks the "Clarke belt"
OK, I have kept this very brief and as simple as I know how to, if you
want to take the plunge go and chat to your local dealer and let him/her know exactly what
you want, don't bother with the high street chains. Then when you are ready to take the
plunge, drop me a line, and I will try and offer any advice that I can ...... mail me
I can supply D2-Mac cards fully programmed at a very reasonable price, you can update
these from home using your remote control for the D2-Mac decoder, to get the latest codes
have a look at some of the satellite sites here, have a
look at Lovely Jubbly, D2-Mac decoding, and the other sites on the link page, they tend to have the codes up very
quick, you can even join mailing list where by the codes are E-Mailed to you.
Have fun, and with all the money you save you can buy me a pint or two (I wish) Oh, before
I forget, Canal Plus are now showing Live Premier Football on a Saturday afternoon... all
with a little know how.......
